I will be running an all day workshop on November 11, 2024, at Because Science in D.C., and I will need a volunteer to help children ages 5-11 run experiments related to the military services in honor of Veterans Day.
For student volunteers, you will need to be able to get to Because Science at 1759 Columbia Rd. NW, or, as part of the permission slip, your parents must sign off on riding with myself (Ann Miller) in my personal vehicle to and from that location. Volunteer duties will include making sure the students are orderly and act safely, helping with the experiments, helping to supervise students during the lunch hour, and escorting students to and from the restroom. Any high school student who has taken high school level science (any class) is eligible.
