This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. The Disaster Health Services (DHS) Chapter Coordinator is responsible for coordinating disaster health services support during local responses, for leading and building a team of disaster health services responders, for collaborating with other disaster responders and assisting the chapter in developing local partnerships.
Time Commitment
4-6 hours a week. Some hours would need to be during "regular business hours" and on weekends. Hours many increase depending on regional projects and priorities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Willingness to comply with Red Cross COVID-19 policies for in-person volunteer activities.
- Active, Unencumbered license as: RN, ARNP, NP, LPN, LVN, PA, MD, DO, EMT, Paramedic
- Meets basic qualifications of Disaster Health Services Supervisor
- At least 1 yr of experience as Red Cross DHS responder
- Certified as Disaster Basic Instructor
