Greetings and Happy Pride Month
The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs is excited to invite you to be a part of the District of Pride Showcase Celebration! The District of Pride Showcase- Celebrating OUR Community, will be a night of entertainment and performances that will feature the diverse talents of the LGBTQ+ community.
Hosted by Rayceen Pendarvis, with announcer Krylios, featuring DJ Honey, this capstone event for PRIDE MONTH will showcase why DC is home to the BEST QUEER PERFORMANCE ART in the nation and bring together over 1000+ community members in celebration!
We are currently looking for 20 volunteers to take on roles that will help make our capstone event a success. Please see event details below:
District of Pride Showcase Celebration
Date: Thursday, June 29th
Time: 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Lincoln Theater (1215 U ST NW)
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to choose from various positions that suit your interests. We will schedule a brief orientation session prior to the event to provide you with all the necessary information and answer any questions you may have.
We have two positions available, and we would appreciate your support in one of the following roles:
- Ticket Holders: As a ticket holder, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth entry process for all attendees. Duties include welcoming guests and handing out beverage tickets.
- Way Finders/Navigators: As a way finder, you will be guiding our participants to the designated seating areas or restrooms.
Those who volunteer will be able to enjoy the show if they please and will be given the opportunity to meet the talent of the night! We will be providing all volunteers refreshments and light horderves.
VENUE BAG POLICY
Backpacks, purses, and small bags are permitted. Bags will be inspected upon entry. No outside food/drink, professional camera equipment, or weapons will be permitted. No luggage, please. For more information about the Historic Lincoln Theatre, check out their FAQ.
