Mentors Inc. @ Kid Power is a community-based program where DCPS and PC youth in grades 8-12 lead mentors in a one year (or longer) mentoring relationship. In this relationship, matches collaborate on the youth's personal, professional, and academic goals. The MI@KP program uses the Mentoring Road Map to guide protégés and their matches in setting and reaching their goals. This program follows national best practices that support enhanced youth outcomes and includes career site visits, college tours, enrichment activities, and ongoing match support. If you would be interested in this opportunity, please fill out our mentor application at this link or email our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@kidpowerdc.org.
