For our monthly CERT training, we will be at the Palisades Recreational Center (Ward 3), 5200 Sherier PL NW. The class will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings starting on June 2nd, 2026. There will be six sessions: June 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, from 6-9 pm, and a final evaluation on June 17th, from 5-9 pm. This is a special opportunity for the evaluation to happen during the week. You must attend all sessions to receive your certificate. It is a Metro accessible location. We have 40 spots. Questions, comments, or concerns can be sent to dc.cert@dc.gov.
CERT Training
CERT training is free and open to anyone who lives, works or congregates in the District of Columbia. When emergencies happen, CERT members can provide critical support to first responders, immediate assistance to survivors and can help organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve community safety.

- First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Team Well-being and Disaster Psychology
- Terrorism Awareness
