We are seeking volunteers to support our card‑making activity for kids in hospitals at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk on Sunday, April 25th, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the National Mall in Washington, DC/
The different roles are:
Activity Assistant:
- Guide participants (especially kids!) as they create handmade cards filled with love and encouragement.
- Ensure appropriateness by reviewing cards for respectful, inclusive, and uplifting messages.
- Encourage creativity while offering gentle support and inspiration to card-makers of all ages.
Welcome Ambassadors:
- Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm as they arrive
- Chat with attendees about our mission and the impact we’re making
- Encourage folks to participate in our card-making activity; no art skills are required, just kindness, high energy, and a welcoming attitude.
Photographer:
- Take group shots, action shots, and photos of guests holding their handmade cards
- Focus on capturing smiles, interactions, and the spirit of the event
- Text your best shots to Edie before you leave (you can get her number from any booth lead)
