Welcome Volunteers,
ServeDC’s Snow Heroes volunteer program is gearing up, and we’re thrilled to have both new and returning volunteers with us for this upcoming snow season. Residents who want to step up and support neighbors during winter weather events. We appreciate you!
Our Snow Heroes initiative mobilizes volunteers to shovel snow for seniors and for members of the DAFN community (individuals with disabilities, access, and functional needs) who may not otherwise have the support they need. This is a meaningful way for friends to volunteer together or for you, individually, to make a direct impact in a neighbor’s life.
Join us for an engaging 2025 Snow Heroes Information Session to learn how you can make a real impact this winter:
Date: November 19, Wednesday
Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: (Hybrid) 2235 Shannon Place SE, Washington, DC/Microsoft Teams. Once you sign up, you will receive the Teams invite.
During this session, you will:
• Learn about volunteer expectations, training, and deployment
• Connect with the Serve DC team
This is a great opportunity to step into a service role that directly helps District residents who may need additional support during winter storms.
We look forward to seeing you next week and hope you’ll consider joining this important effort.
