Position Title: Program Experience Ambassador - Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs
The WorldPride Wrap-Up Party will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Room 202AB, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (program begins at 6:30 PM sharp). This event will bring our community together to reflect, celebrate, and honor the unforgettable journey of WorldPride Washington, DC 2025. Guests will enjoy food, beverages, and performances as we close this historic chapter with gratitude, community, and Pride.
Role Summary: The Program Experience Ambassador plays a key role in ensuring the program is respected by encouraging guests to remain quiet during important moments. Your presence helps maintain the atmosphere and focus of the event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hold “Quiet Please” or similar signage during program segments.
- Politely remind attendees to lower their voices during the program.
- Move strategically through the crowd to maintain a respectful environment.
- Collaborate with event staff to address noise concerns promptly.
- Support in maintaining an enjoyable and inclusive experience for all guests.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable engaging with guests in a polite and respectful manner.
- Confident with gentle crowd management.
- Attentive, observant, and proactive in maintaining program flow.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic settings.
