The Seventh Annual Brookland Halloween Parade and Party is coming Sunday, October 26, to bring together neighbors, children, and their families for an afternoon of spooky and silly fun. Children of all ages are encouraged to show up in costumes for a Big Easy-style second line parade leaving at 2PM from Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on 12th Street, led by an eight piece brass band down the sidewalk and into Noyes Park for a family-friendly party. Friends of Noyes Park will provide music, food, face painting, glitter tattoos, bounce houses, science experiments, and other activities for children through 4:30PM.
We need volunteers! Help may take the form of passing out popcorn and other treats, managing parade lines to keep folks safe, helping keep the park clean, and making sure vendors have the help they need so kids have a great time, and more. Here is the sign up form. The gift of your time would mean so much to the Friends and all the kids, families, and neighbors in attendance. Happy Halloween!
