DC Blue Bulls Youth Organization

The name Ward 7 Blue Bulls is derived from the prefix meaning new, which Ward 7 Blue Bulls Youth Organization is a new way of thinking around making the choice to live a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on healthy alternatives. These events and opportunities create a safe environment which helps young people develop a sense of purpose, boost self-esteem, build skills for success, and be empowered to make the choice to live a healthy lifestyle.

We are a nonprofit Organization located in Washington, DC. The Organization serves youth from the ages of 4-17 with multiple sports, art, mentoring, study hall and crime violence events in the Ward 8 and Ward 7 communities.

Ward 7 Blue Bulls Youth Organization strives to empower youth to find their strength; giving them the ability to say no to drug and alcohol use, versus just telling them that the right thing to do is to say no. Ward 7 Blue Bulls believes there is an extreme and powerful difference between the two. Nearly everyone understands that drugs have negative consequences, but one thing not all youth recognize is that they have a choice. Giving a young person choice means giving them power, which is why Ward 7 Blue Bulls Youth Organization chooses to go beyond just acquiring knowledge and instead focuses on how to use your knowledge through the power of choice and influence so that young people can withstand traditional peer pressure to make their own healthy choices

The Organization empowers and uplifts the youth in under-resourced areas through comprehensive programming that takes a holistic approach. Our organization leverages the power of sports and education as conduits for the development of our youth members. By providing a range of targeted services, we aim to nurture their physical, mental, and emotional growth, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge and support to thrive and succeed in all aspects of their lives. Together, we strive to create a brighter future for our young members and foster positive change, and help decrease youth gun violence within our community.
