Who We Are

College Track is a comprehensive college completion program that equips students confronting systemic barriers to earn a bachelor's degree, in pursuit of a life of opportunity, choice, and power. From ninth grade through college graduation, our 10-year program removes the academic, financial, and social-emotional barriers that prevent first-generation students from low-income communities from earning their college degree. In 1997, we started with 25 students in East Palo Alto, and today, we have twelve centers located in communities across California, Colorado, Louisiana, and the D.C. Metro Area with 3,800 scholars and 952 alumni on the path to upward social mobility.

What We Do

College Track connects scholars to community service and meaningful summer experiences in their local communities. College Track scholars graduate from college at a rate that is two and a half times the national average for first-generation college students from low-income communities. One year out of college, 84% of our recent graduates are employed full-time, and 90% of alumni 30 years and older report earnings greater than their parents. By supporting our students to maximize the value of their college degree—minimize student loan debt, secure internships, and limit the need to work while in college—we prepare them to succeed in the 21st century economy.
