Who We Are
Washington English Center (WEC), is a DC-based nonprofit organization that helps provide English classes to refugees and immigrants in the DC metropolitan area by preparing and training volunteers to teach classes. WEC serves several hundred adult language learners, including many recently resettled refugees from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Venezuela.
What We Do
We recruit, prepare, and train volunteers to facilitate English classes to adult immigrants and refugees.
