Who We Are
Jah Kente International ® (JKI) is a multidisciplinary arts and humanities organization offering programs that are truly international in conception, in content, and in execution. We act local and think global in providing youth and adults programs and opportunities that are reflected in the mirror of global understanding and economy and sustained by global information technology.

Our Process: Through the arts and humanities, JKI improves the quality of life in the community with the discovery, creation, and dissemination of knowledge of human experience, thought-provoking nature of the arts and expressions that cultivate intellectual breadth, ethical reasoning, multicultural understanding appreciation, and promote asset-based community development that is sustainable development. Vision: JKI is an ardent advocate of the arts and humanities not only for its obvious beauty and aesthetic appeal, but also as an economic engine through the creative industry, a contributor to research and discourse within the humanities on issues of local and global significance, and as a catalyst for multicultural understanding, diplomacy, and collaboration. In exploring every aspect of human development, from literature, philosophy, sciences, and religion, languages, architecture, law, business, to public service, a foundation in arts and humanities gives you the insight and critical thinking skills to live an examined life, to express yourself with self-dignity, and to appreciate your role in, and relationship with, your local community and wider world. Indeed, Arts, Culture, and Heritage influence the economy, inform our politics, and shape our social preferences. It is inconceivable to pursue sustainable development without the intersection of the Arts, Culture and Heritage. Participants are encouraged to use exposure to knowledge to integrate new experiences in addressing our complex and common challenges. By appreciating humanity in its diversity while respecting legitimate boundaries, JKI commits to strengthen inter-community relations in our increasingly pluralistic city, the nation, and world. This does not mean people are expected to adopt points of views or adapt to the orientations of different cultures because they are exposed to them. The goal is to interface intelligently and humanely. The intended result is a welcome manifestation of tolerant respect within a framework of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access - IDEA.
