Volunteer: Donation Closet Organizer at DC Health Center

Help keep the Baby and Parent Closet organized at Community of Hope's Family Health and Birth Center in Northeast DC!The closet is located at the only free-standing birth center in Washington, DC. We are a Federally-Qualified Health Center serving the insured, uninsured, and under-insured residents of DC.

Our patients regularly access this closet for critical supplies such as infant, toddler, and maternity clothing.

Volunteers are needed twice a month to help keep donations organized and easily accessible to our patients. Volunteers can come during the weekday or Saturdays until 3pm and usually work for an hour each shift.
Volunteers will need to attend an orientation and complete a background check for a fee (about ~$25).

Support families overcoming homelessness and
give back to your local community! 

Volunteers will do activities including arts & crafts, games, and playtime for residents of all ages during Fam-Club at family shelters in NW, SE, and SW DC.

This opportunity provides a meaningful way for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families who are experiencing homelessness.  Come have fun with kids and families!

This opportunity is for individuals (14+) or groups of up to 6 people.

Individual volunteers must sign up on our calendar to officially register for this opportunity.
