DO NOT deploy at night; preferred hours are between 10 am and 4 pm.
DO NOT deploy during the snow activity. Snow Heroes are requested to shovel their homes within 24 hours of deployment.
DO NOT self-deploy. Snow Heroes must wait for an official email from Serve DC or the VSP program to be deployed.
DO NOT enter houses or accept tips. Although the volunteers greatly appreciate the offer, we are not allowed to enter the residents’ homes and/or collect payment in any form for shoveling their walkways. This is voluntary, and we are happy to serve them and DC. Please wear your Snow Heroes gear.
