 0.6 mile walk from the Anacostia Metro Station (Green Line)
 0.2 mile walk from MLK Jr Ave SE & Good Hope Road SE Bus Stop (90, A6, CH-US, P6)
 0.2 mile walk from MLK Jr Ave SE & U St SE Bus Stop (90, A8, A33, B2, CH-US, P6, V2)

• Physical Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
o This event will likely involve lifting, bending, and potentially walking on uneven surfaces. Participants will be expected to wear closed-toed shoes for the duration of the event. If you think any of the physical requirements will be problematic, please let us know.

• Celebration location: The X is where the food will be. If the weather is bad, we'll be under the skating pavilion. (see attached map)

*Pope Branch Participants will need to secure public or private transportation to the Cleanup Celebration. *

Through participation, students will earn community service hours, an Earth Day 2025 t-shirt, and swag bags with merchandise from our community partners. Following the completion of the service projects, students will have gained first-hand knowledge and hands-on substantiality in legislation that will allow them to make impactful improvements within their communities.
