• Getting There: o Accessible via Anacostia Riverwalk Bike Trail o Public Transportation: 0.6 mile walk from the Anacostia Metro Station (Green Line) 0.2 mile walk from MLK Jr Ave SE & Good Hope Road SE Bus Stop (90, A6, CH-US, P6) 0.2 mile walk from MLK Jr Ave SE & U St SE Bus Stop (90, A8, A33, B2, CH-US, P6, V2) o Parking available • Physical Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate o This event will likely involve lifting, bending, and potentially walking on uneven surfaces. After Cleanup Celebration: • Time: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm • Location: Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion, 1500 Anacostia Dr, Washington, DC 20020 (Map) • Celebration location: The X is where the food will be. If the weather is bad, we'll be under the skating pavilion. (see attached map)

Through participation, students will earn community service hours, an Earth Day 2025 t-shirt, and swag bags with merchandise from our community partners. Following the completion of the service projects, students will have gained first-hand knowledge and hands-on substantiality in legislation that will allow them to make impactful improvements within their communities.
