Position Title: Greeter/Guider Ambassador - Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs
The WorldPride Wrap-Up Party will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Room 202AB, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (program begins at 6:30 PM sharp). This event will bring our community together to reflect, celebrate, and honor the unforgettable journey of WorldPride Washington, DC 2025. Guests will enjoy food, beverages, and performances as we close this historic chapter with gratitude, community, and Pride.
Role Summary: Greeter/Guider Ambassadors will serve as welcoming hosts, stationed at entrances to help orient guests as they arrive. Your presence sets a positive tone and ensures guests feel comfortable navigating the event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and direct guests upon arrival.
- Provide clear guidance to various event areas (registration, program space, restrooms, etc.).
- Answer basic questions and assist with accessibility needs.
- Communicate with the event team to ensure smooth guest flow.
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident in giving directions.
- Ability to stand and interact with guests throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of the event layout (training provided).
