On Monday, May 8th, 2023, DC Mayor’s Office on Asian American and Pacific Islander Affairs will be hosting an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Evening Celebration to celebrate the AAPI community, culture, and heritage at the Lincoln Theater. This annual event will be held in honor of May being Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. During the evening, guests will experience a wonderful array of cultural performances from various AAPI groups and also be able to watch a special award ceremony to recognize individuals who have devoted themselves to community service.
The doors will open for the event at 6:00 PM, so volunteers should arrive no later than 5:15 PM and remain until 8:30 PM. We expect hundreds of attendees. The volunteer assignments include greeting, ushering, registration, etc.
