During this trip, most volunteers will run crafts and a game of BINGO with the residents while a small group goes from room to room to visit with bed-bound patients. Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home provides both short-term and long-term care for low-income individuals to ensure that everyone has access to quality care full of dignity, compassion and respect. This project is open to teens ages 14-18 and is eligible for 2 SSL hours. SAMU First Response is an international humanitarian nonprofit 501(c)(3), that draws from over 40 years of experience. Their programming provides much needed food, medical attention, clothing, hygienic care, emergency respite and travel support to their clientele. Volunteers will make over 250 instant oatmeal kits, a perfect grab-and-go meal for residents of the SAMU migrant respite center. Teens ages 11-18 are welcome to join us for this project.
