Who We Are
Organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the Overnight Walk is the premiere fundraising 16-18 mile journey through the night. A courageous community of men and women like you will break the silence and bring the issues of depression and suicide into the light. Funds raised by the Overnight allow AFSP to further its mission of understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.
What We Do
During The Overnight, hundreds of Volunteers are needed on our Route and at our Ceremony Site for support and encouragement. Crew or Volunteer to help with a variety of tasks, including: route marking, route support, participant check-in, set-up and breakdown, participant and traffic control, serving breakfast, and more. Licensed Medical Professionals, including those specializing in mental health, photographers, and ASL interpreters are always needed.
